Yes, definitely maternity leave but it think it would depend if you have to take care of that family member because no one else can.

Yes, for both the father and mother. However, only for a total of 6 months.

Yes, other countries do it. So why not? Maternal AND paternal leaves! Please!

  Deletedanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and also include paternity leave for fathers. The wages earned during both maternity and paternity leave should be slightly lower than if the mother/father were at work. It should last a minimum of a month. Paid sick leave is important for those with serious illness.

Get rid of all regulations regarding parental leave. With a UBI in place there is no need.

Women have the right to enjoy a disability leave due to childbirth, which shall cover 40 weeks (starting after childbirth) plus 1 emergency 40-week extension.

Businesses should provide maternal, paternal, sick leave, and only for sick family members close to the person who are dying(Ex. mother or father or child).

Reform the system so that this paid leave should only be for people work their butts off to provide for their family, and not for rich snobs. We need paid leave to compete with other countries and convince businesses to move back and help us.

 @8X9V94P from Indiana  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and the government should help pay 1/3 of the salary paycheck to help the business.

Yes, the lack of paid sick leave is unfair to working people and the lack of importance put upon the presence of both parents in the early months of life for a child to grow into a decent member of society is overlooked.

 @8P4J799 from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but proof should be given and the worker shouldn't take advantage of it.

 @8PMF46F from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, businesses should provide more time-off for maternity leave and for illnesses, either personal or for immediate family members. Businesses over 100 employees should pay for this themselves, but small businesses should have this subsidized by the federal government.
